0 CVE-2026-111140 is a heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability in libregf, a library for reading Windows Registry files. The flaw occurs in the function libregf_value_item_read_value_data() due to incorrect bounds checking of value data size, which fails to subtract a 4-byte old-format cell offset. This can allow attackers to supply a crafted REGF hive file that causes adjacent heap memory to be read or triggers crashes in parsers like regfexport and plaso.
