CVE-2026-62143 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the html_to_markdown expansion module of misp-modules. The module failed to normalize IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses before checking them against blocked IP ranges, allowing an authenticated attacker to bypass SSRF protections. This could enable the attacker to make the server connect to internal services such as loopback, private, or link-local network addresses. The vulnerability has been fixed by normalizing IPv4-mapped IPv6 addresses and rejecting URLs without valid hostnames.

MISP misp-modules versions prior to 3.0.7 contain vulnerabilities related to improper certificate validation and unsafe remote resource fetching. Specifically, the html_to_markdown module allowed Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via arbitrary HTTP(S) URLs without sufficient validation, potentially targeting internal network resources. The qrcode module disabled TLS certificate verification when retrieving remote images, exposing requests to man-in-the-middle attacks. These issues were addressed in version 3.0.7 by enforcing URL scheme validation, blocking local/private addresses, resolving hostnames before fetching, enforcing request timeouts, and re-enabling TLS certificate verification.

MISP modules are autonomous modules that can be used to extend MISP for new services. In 3.0.7 and earlier, a Cross-Site Request Forgery vulnerability in the MISP Modules website allowed an attacker to cause an authenticated user to submit unintended requests to the home endpoint. The vulnerability was due to the home blueprint being exempted from CSRF protection. This could allow modification of session query data in the context of the authenticated user. The issue was fixed by enabling CSRF protection for the affected blueprint and hardening query parsing.
