CVE-2026-73030: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') in frostming unearthCVE-2026-73030 0 CVE-2026-73030 is a path traversal vulnerability in frostming's unearth software up to version 0.18.2. The flaw exists in the is_within_directory function, which does not properly normalize paths before validation, allowing malicious input with ../ sequences to bypass directory containment checks. This enables attackers to craft tar archives with symlinks or traversal sequences that can write files to arbitrary locations accessible by the process. The vulnerability was fixed in a commit identified as 6c78164. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 08/10/2026, 20:09:44 UTC Added: 08/10/2026, 20:26:46 UTC |
