0 CVE-2026-19693 is a high-severity vulnerability in the max-mapper extract-zip package affecting versions 1.0.0 and all versions prior to 2.0.2. The flaw involves improper link resolution before file access, where the containment checks only verify the parent directory of each archive entry but not the final path component. This allows an attacker to craft a zip archive with a symlink pointing outside the destination directory followed by a regular file with the same name, resulting in an arbitrary file write outside the intended extraction directory.
