Python datamodel code generator: datamodel-code-generator generates Python data models from schema definitions. (CVE-2026-107377)CVE-2026-107377 GCVE Database · 10/08/2026, 18:17:00 UTC 0 A path traversal vulnerability exists in python-datamodel-code-generator versions >=0.59.0 and <0.81.0, allowing attacker-controlled Protobuf schemas to write files outside the intended temporary directory. The vulnerability is due to improper handling of import paths in weak-import stubs, enabling file creation or overwriting in writable locations. The written content is limited to a fixed Protobuf syntax declaration, and no direct arbitrary code execution has been demonstrated. The issue occurs before the Protobuf compiler runs and can be triggered by processing malicious schemas via local files or URLs. A fix has been merged but no patched package release is currently available. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 10/08/2026, 18:17:00 UTC Added: 10/08/2026, 21:48:36 UTC |
CVE Database V5 · 07/26/2026, 03:51:18 UTC 0 datamodel-code-generator prior to version 0.70.0 contains a code injection vulnerability that allows attackers who control input schemas to achieve remote code execution by supplying a malicious customBasePath value containing embedded newlines and a dot-free Python expression. The crafted value is emitted verbatim into a generated 'from ... import ...' statement without identifier validation, causing arbitrary Python code to execute when the generated module is imported.
