Red Hat Security Advisory: fence-agents security updateCVE-2026-59939
0

A security vulnerability (CVE-2026-59939) affecting the fence-agents packages in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 has been identified and addressed. The issue involves a denial of service caused by unbounded decompression of HTTP response bodies in the httplib2 component used by fence-agents. Fence-agents are scripts used for remote power management in cluster environments to forcibly restart and remove failed or unreachable nodes. Red Hat has released an important security update to fix this vulnerability in affected fence-agents packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 variants.
