| Low | – | EPSS 0.2% | CVE-2026-74441Linux kernel · usb: typec: ucsi: Fix race condition and ordering in port unregistration LowEPSS 0.2%GCVE DatabaseCVE-2026-74441 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: ucsi: Fix race condition and ordering in port unregistration A synchronization issue exists during port unregistration where pending partner work items can race against workqueue destruction, leading to use-after-free conditions: cros_ec_ucsi cros_ec_ucsi.3.auto: error -ETIMEDOUT: PPM init failed BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000000 RIP: 0010:__queue_work+0x83/0x4a0 Call Trace: <IRQ> __cfi_delayed_work_timer_fn+0x10/0x10 run_timer_softirq+0x3b6/0xbd0 sched_clock_cpu+0xc/0x110 irq_exit_rcu+0x18d/0x330 fred_sysvec_apic_timer_interrupt+0x5e/0x80 Fix this by ensuring strict ordering and proper serialization during teardown: 1. Move ucsi_unregister_partner() to the beginning of the teardown sequence and protect it under the connector mutex lock. 2. Ensure all pending partner tasks are explicitly flushed and finished before the workqueue is destroyed. 3. Switch from mod_delayed_work() to a cancel_delayed_work() and queue_delayed_work() sequence. This guarantees that items currently marked as pending won't be scheduled an additional time, preventing a double release of resources which leads to the following crash: Oops: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdead000000000122: 0000 [#1] SMP NOPTI Workqueue: cros_ec_ucsi.3.auto-con2 ucsi_poll_worker RIP: 0010:ucsi_poll_worker+0x65/0x1e0 Call Trace: <TASK> process_scheduled_works+0x218/0x6d0 worker_thread+0x188/0x3f0 __cfi_worker_thread+0x10/0x10 kthread+0x226/0x2a0 To ensure these rules are applied identically across both the normal teardown and the ucsi_init() error paths, consolidate the cleanup logic into a new helper, ucsi_unregister_port(). | High | 7.8 | EPSS 0.2% | High7.8EPSS 0.2%GCVE DatabaseCVE-2026-64226 A use-after-free (UAF) vulnerability was identified and resolved in the Linux kernel's sched_ext subsystem, specifically in the scx_root_enable_workfn() function. The flaw occurs because put_task_struct(p) is called before scx_error() dereferences p->comm and p->pid, potentially leading to a UAF if the task's reference count drops to zero. This could allow local attackers to cause memory corruption. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.8 and is considered medium severity. Multiple Linux kernel versions are affected, and patches are available to address the issue. EPSS 0.2%Vulnerability | GCVE Database | ||

Then the mgnt_entry list init again, causing the list_empty() check in rtw89_chanctx_ops_assign_vif() useless, and list_add_tail() again. Therefore, we have added a check to prevent double adding of the list. rtw89_8852ce 0000:01:00.0: failed to check wow status disabled rtw89_8852ce 0000:01:00.0: wow: failed to check disable fw ready rtw89_8852ce 0000:01:00.0: wow: failed to swap to normal fw rtw89_8852ce 0000:01:00.0: failed to disable wow rtw89_8852ce 0000:01:00.0: failed to resume for wow -110 rtw89_8852ce 0000:01:00.0: MAC has already powered on i2c_hid_acpi i2c-ILTK0001:00: PM: acpi_subsys_resume+0x0/0x60 returned 0 after 284705 usecs list_add corruption. prev->next should be next (ffff9d9719d82228), but was ffff9d9719f96030. | High | 7.8 | EPSS 0.3% | CVE-2024-56677Linux kernel · powerpc/fadump: Move fadump_cma_init to setup_arch() after initmem_init() High7.8EPSS 0.3%GCVE DatabaseCVE-2024-56677 In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/fadump: Move fadump_cma_init to setup_arch() after initmem_init() During early init CMA_MIN_ALIGNMENT_BYTES can be PAGE_SIZE, since pageblock_order is still zero and it gets initialized later during initmem_init() e.g. setup_arch() -> initmem_init() -> sparse_init() -> set_pageblock_order() One such use case where this causes issue is - early_setup() -> early_init_devtree() -> fadump_reserve_mem() -> fadump_cma_init() This causes CMA memory alignment check to be bypassed in cma_init_reserved_mem(). Then later cma_activate_area() can hit a VM_BUG_ON_PAGE(pfn & ((1 << order) - 1)) if the reserved memory area was not pageblock_order aligned. Fix it by moving the fadump_cma_init() after initmem_init(), where other such cma reservations also gets called. <stack trace> ============== page: refcount:0 mapcount:0 mapping:0000000000000000 index:0x0 pfn:0x10010 flags: 0x13ffff800000000(node=1|zone=0|lastcpupid=0x7ffff) CMA raw: 013ffff800000000 5deadbeef0000100 5deadbeef0000122 0000000000000000 raw: 0000000000000000 0000000000000000 00000000ffffffff 0000000000000000 page dumped because: VM_BUG_ON_PAGE(pfn & ((1 << order) - 1)) ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel BUG at mm/page_alloc.c:778!
