OpenBao has Reflected XSS in its OIDC authentication error message (CVE-2026-33758)CVE-2026-33758 0 OpenBao versions prior to 2.5.2 with OIDC/JWT authentication enabled and roles configured with callback_mode=direct are vulnerable to reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) via the error_description parameter on failed authentication pages. This vulnerability allows attackers to access the authentication token used by the victim in the Web UI. The issue is fixed in version 2.5.2 by replacing the error_description parameter with a static error message. Mitigation includes removing roles with callback_mode set to direct.
