Valkey: Lua library commands may lead to stack overflow and RCE in Redis (CVE-2024-31449)CVE-2024-31449
0

CVE-2024-31449 is a high-severity vulnerability in Redis affecting all versions with Lua scripting enabled. An authenticated user can exploit a specially crafted Lua script to trigger a stack buffer overflow in the bit library, potentially leading to remote code execution. The issue has been fixed in Redis versions 6.2.16, 7.2.6, and 7.4.1. No workarounds are available, so upgrading to a fixed version is the recommended mitigation.
