CVE-2026-73619 is a vulnerability in GitPython's Repo.archive() method where an incomplete denylist of unsafe git archive options omits the --add-file and --add-virtual-file options. This omission allows an attacker to read arbitrary files on the filesystem with the privileges of the process by injecting these options, which are not blocked by the existing guard. The vulnerability does not allow code execution but can lead to sensitive file disclosure if the embedding application forwards caller-controlled options to Repo.archive(). A fix is available.
