The Snowflake CLI's GitPython integration has a vulnerability in the Commit.count() method where unguarded forwarding of options to git rev-list allows arbitrary file truncation. Specifically, using the output argument causes git rev-list to open and truncate the specified file to zero bytes, leading to potential destruction of arbitrary files. This issue affects versions up to 3.1.53 and is rated medium severity due to the limited control over file content and the requirement of process-level privileges.
