0 CVE-2024-23265 is a critical memory corruption vulnerability in the kernel of Apple iOS, iPadOS, and other Apple operating systems. This flaw could allow an app to cause unexpected system termination or write to kernel memory, potentially enabling an attacker with arbitrary kernel read and write capabilities to bypass kernel memory protections. Apple has addressed this issue with improved validation and locking mechanisms. The vulnerability is fixed in iOS 16.7.6, iPadOS 16.7.6, iOS 17.4, iPadOS 17.4, macOS Monterey 12.
