CVE-2024-23280 is a high-severity vulnerability in Apple Safari and related WebKit components that allows a maliciously crafted webpage to fingerprint the user. The issue was addressed by Apple through improved validation and state management in Safari 17.4, iOS 17.4, iPadOS 17.4, macOS Sonoma 14.4, tvOS 17.4, and watchOS 10.4. This vulnerability could enable user tracking via fingerprinting techniques. Apple has released official patches for all affected platforms to mitigate this issue.
