CVE-2024-27802 is a high-severity vulnerability affecting Apple iOS and iPadOS where processing a maliciously crafted file may lead to unexpected app termination or arbitrary code execution. The underlying issue is an out-of-bounds read caused by insufficient input validation. Apple has addressed this vulnerability with improved input validation and memory handling.
