A security vulnerability (CVE-2024-34069) has been identified in the python-werkzeug package used by Red Hat OpenStack Platform 17. 1. This vulnerability could allow a user to execute code on a developer's machine. Red Hat has issued an important security update (RHSA-2024:9976) to address this issue. The vulnerability is related to CWE-352 (Cross-Site Request Forgery). No known exploits in the wild have been reported. The update is available for Red Hat OpenStack Platform 17. 1 on RHEL 9 x86_64. Users are advised to apply the provided security update to remediate the vulnerability.
