CVE-2024-44217 is a critical vulnerability in Apple iOS and iPadOS where the password autofill feature may fill in passwords even after authentication has failed. This is due to a permissions issue that was addressed by Apple through code removal and additional checks. The vulnerability is fixed in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. The flaw could allow unauthorized disclosure of passwords if exploited.
