The flaw is in the route information length field, which could lead to memory corruption. Red Hat has issued a security update for libndp in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support to address this issue. A vulnerability was found in libndp. This flaw allows a local malicious user to cause a buffer overflow in NetworkManager, triggered by sending a malformed IPv6 router advertisement packet.
