A denial of service (DoS) vulnerability exists in the virtuoso-opensource component used in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support. The issue occurs in the function sqlc_add_distinct_node and is tracked as CVE-2024-57656. This vulnerability affects user-space components that manage virtual machines using Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM). Red Hat has released an important security update to address this issue for affected versions of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extended Lifecycle Support.
