CVE-2025-12084 is a vulnerability in Python's xml.dom.minidom module where the algorithm used in node ID cache clearing (_clear_id_cache) exhibits quadratic time complexity when building nested XML elements. This can lead to denial of service by impacting availability when processing excessively nested XML documents. The issue affects multiple Python versions and Red Hat Enterprise Linux distributions. A patch is available from Red Hat to address this vulnerability.
