CVE-2025-14231 is a critical buffer overflow vulnerability in the print job processing component using WSD on Canon Small Office Multifunction Printers and Laser Printers, including the Satera LBP670C Series and various other models sold in Japan, the US, and Europe. The flaw allows an attacker on the same network segment to cause the device to become unresponsive or potentially execute arbitrary code. The affected firmware versions are 06.02 and earlier. The vulnerability has a high CVSS 4.0 score of 9.3, indicating critical severity. No patch or official fix information is currently provided by Canon.
