A path traversal vulnerability (CVE-2025-27553) was identified in Apache Commons VFS when using NameScope.DESCENDENT. Commons VFS provides a unified API to access various file systems and supports multiple file system types. This vulnerability could allow unauthorized access to files outside the intended scope.
