CVE-2025-43290 is a vulnerability in Apple macOS where an application may be able to modify protected parts of the file system due to a permissions issue. Apple addressed this issue by adding additional restrictions in macOS Sequoia 15. 7, macOS Sonoma 14. 8, and macOS Tahoe 26. No known exploits are reported in the wild. The vulnerability could allow unauthorized modification of critical system files if unpatched.
