CVE-2025-53884 is a medium severity vulnerability in SUSE NeuVector version 5.0.0 where user passwords and API keys are stored using a simple, unsalted one-way hash. This insecure hashing method exposes stored credentials to rainbow table attacks, allowing attackers to potentially recover plaintext passwords from hashed values.
