A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's lkkbd input device driver was resolved. The issue arises because the work handler lkkbd_reinit() can run after the lkkbd structure has been freed, due to improper disabling of pending work before freeing the device. This can lead to potential memory corruption. The vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS score of 7.8. Fixes have been released and are available in updated Linux kernel versions.
