The issue involved a lock inversion deadlock between the inode mutex (ni_lock) and page locks during compressed page reads. This deadlock could cause tasks to hang indefinitely. The fix restructured the locking order to acquire page locks before the inode mutex, aligning with the Virtual File System (VFS) locking conventions.
