A vulnerability in the withastro astro web framework's @astrojs/netlify adapter versions 5.2.0 through 8.2.3 allows unauthenticated requests to the public /.netlify/images endpoint to cause the Image CDN to fetch attacker-controlled URLs. This occurs because the regular expressions used for Netlify Image CDN remote-image allowlists are not anchored to the start of the URL, enabling an allowed origin to appear in the path or query rather than the host.
