0 A vulnerability in docling versions from 2.82.0 up to but not including 2.118.1 allows crafted HTML with file URLs to embed readable local text files in browser-rendered pages when using HTMLBackendOptions with render_page=True and Playwright is installed. This occurs because the _get_browser_request_block_reason method does not enforce the enable_local_fetch setting or restrict local requests to the source document directory. Only filesystem Path inputs are affected; stream inputs and default configurations are not vulnerable. The issue is fixed in version 2.118.1.
