CVE-2026-10645: Out-of-bounds Read in zephyrproject-rtos ZephyrCVE-2026-10645
0

Zephyr's ext2 filesystem directory-entry parser does not fully validate directory entries before copying names and advancing traversal, leading to out-of-bounds reads or infinite loops when processing crafted ext2 images. This vulnerability can be triggered during directory traversal operations such as pathname lookup, stat, open, unlink, rename, and readdir. The primary impact is denial of service and potential information disclosure via out-of-bounds reads when mounting attacker-controlled ext2 images from untrusted media.
