0 AsyncHttpClient versions prior to 3.0.12 on 3.x and 2.16.1 on 2.x have a vulnerability where sensitive information, including Authorization credentials, can be transmitted in cleartext over a proxy connection after a rejected CONNECT request. This occurs because the client incorrectly infers the existence of an HTTP proxy tunnel from the last request method rather than the actual CONNECT result. The issue allows basic credentials to be directly recovered and NTLM responses to be cracked or relayed. Versions 3.0.12 and 2.16.1 include fixes for this vulnerability.
