0 AsyncHttpClient versions prior to 3.0.12 and 2.16.1 have a vulnerability where proxy authentication credentials can be exposed in cleartext during proxied WebSocket requests. This occurs because the library treats WebSocket (ws) URIs as non-secure, causing the Proxy-Authorization header to be sent to the origin server. Basic authentication credentials can be directly recovered, and Digest authentication responses can be replayed or cracked offline. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.12 and 2.16.1.
