0 CVE-2026-107571 is a vulnerability in Progressive Robot Ltd's hMailServer versions 6.0.0 through 6.3.6 involving incorrect default permissions in the Windows installer. When installed in a folder with writable parent permissions, such as the root of a drive, local authenticated users can gain code execution with high privileges by modifying or replacing server programs or libraries. The default installation path (Program Files) is not affected due to restrictive permissions. This issue arises because the installer does not set explicit permissions on the program or Bin folders, causing them to inherit potentially unsafe permissions from the parent directory.
