0 The Blocksy Companion plugin for WordPress contains a critical privilege escalation vulnerability in versions up to and including 2.1.58. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass Dokan's vendor-registration nonce check and specify an arbitrary role during user registration. As a result, attackers can elevate their privileges to a Dokan 'seller' (vendor) account and gain publishing capabilities beyond those of a normal customer, even if vendor signup is disabled. The vulnerability is due to improper privilege management in the AJAX handler implement_user_registration().
