Poppler versions 0.42.0 through 26.10.0 contain a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the Decrypt::revision6Hash() function. This flaw allows attackers who can control the password input to overflow stack memory by supplying a password longer than 127 bytes when opening AESV3/R6 encrypted PDFs. The overflow affects the K1 and E buffers, potentially causing process crashes or memory corruption. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 10/08/2026, 19:51:12 UTC Added: 10/08/2026, 20:37:00 UTC |
