Pingvin Share X versions before 1.22.0 have a vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass rate limiting by exploiting unconditional trust in proxy headers. This enables attackers to rotate spoofed X-Forwarded-For headers to evade per-IP throttling on authentication-related endpoints, facilitating brute-force attacks on passwords and TOTP codes while forging client IP logs.
