0 CVE-2026-110688 is a vulnerability in Cpanel::JSON::XS for Perl versions 4.51 up to but not including 4.80. It causes inefficient algorithmic complexity leading to quadratic CPU usage when parsing JSON containing non-ASCII characters. This occurs because the decoder repeatedly revalidates the remaining buffer for each value, causing CPU time to increase quadratically with input size. A large input of about one megabyte of non-ASCII JSON can tie up the process for several seconds. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 10/19/2026, 18:12:25 UTC Added: 10/19/2026, 18:34:36 UTC |
