0 CVE-2026-112202 is an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Imager::File::GIF versions before 1.006 for Perl. When the gif_consolidate option is enabled, the code reads palette indices without verifying bounds, causing reads beyond allocated heap memory. This can lead to disclosure of adjacent heap memory and potential process crashes. The default GIF reader is not affected. The vulnerability exists in the bundled Imager distribution as well.
