0 A vulnerability in the tox-dev filelock Python package versions 4.0.0 through 4.2.0 allows a local attacker with rename access to the lock directory to interfere with file locking. The issue involves SoftReadWriteLock refreshing holder records by name, which can be exploited by replacing a record with a named pipe to stall the lock or by using a permissive hard-link policy to cause unintended writes through a linked target file. This vulnerability is fixed in version 4.2.1. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 10/20/2026, 14:30:43 UTC Added: 10/20/2026, 14:49:09 UTC |
