0 CVE-2026-113720 is a medium severity vulnerability in pypa virtualenv prior to version 21.14.9. The issue arises from incorrect permission assignment when cached package files are copied using shutil.copy(), causing files to inherit permissive permissions from an earlier umask. This can allow local users to modify package code such as pip/__init__.py in later environments, potentially leading to execution of altered code by the environment owner. The vulnerability is fixed in version 21.14.9. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 10/20/2026, 19:43:32 UTC Added: 10/20/2026, 19:49:14 UTC |
