This vulnerability arises from insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the Site Logo Title and Single Author Box Widgets. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this by injecting malicious scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages. Exploitation requires intercepting and modifying AJAX save requests to bypass client-side restrictions.
