0 CVE-2026-114406 is a vulnerability in the system certificate authority (CA) store used by Red Hat products, including the Assisted Installer for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 2. The CA store included root CA certificates that signed intermediate CA certificates with weak private keys issued by the eMudhra certificate authority. This weakness could allow a man-in-the-middle attacker to issue certificates for arbitrary host names that would be trusted by TLS/SSL clients using the system CA store, potentially redirecting clients to malicious sites. To mitigate this, Red Hat is removing the root CA certificates that signed these weak intermediate certificates.
