CVE-2026-11743: bounds in zephyrproject zephyrCVE-2026-11743
0

CVE-2026-11743 is a vulnerability in the SF32LB MPI QSPI NOR flash driver of the Zephyr project. It arises from improper bounds checking of flash offset and length in read and write operations, allowing negative offsets to bypass validation due to signed/unsigned integer issues. This can lead to out-of-bounds memory access during read and write, potentially disclosing unauthorized memory contents and corrupting flash memory. The flaw affects builds with CONFIG_USERSPACE enabled where unprivileged threads have access to the flash device. The issue is fixed by replacing the flawed check with a safer range validation and adding protections against DMA-related bus hangs.
