CVE-2026-12405 is a command injection vulnerability in Red Hat Satellite 6.19 for RHEL 9 affecting the rubygem-foreman_remote_execution component. The flaw occurs in the Satellite API's job_invocations endpoint when the effective_user property of a job template is marked as overridable. Improper sanitization of the effective_user input allows an attacker with job template execution permissions to inject arbitrary shell commands, which execute with the privileges of the execution user. Red Hat has released a security advisory with a fix for this vulnerability. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 10/01/2026, 16:21:44 UTC Added: 10/01/2026, 16:31:52 UTC |
