CVE-2026-12542 is an OS command injection vulnerability in the foreman-tail utility of Red Hat Satellite 6.19 for RHEL 9. The flaw arises from unsafe use of the eval command, which executes user-supplied arguments without proper sanitization or quoting. This allows a local attacker to inject shell metacharacters and execute arbitrary system commands. The vulnerability has a CVSS 3.1 base score of 5.3, indicating medium severity. Red Hat has released a security advisory with a patch to address this issue as part of Red Hat Satellite 6.19.5 update.
