CVE-2026-13208: Improper Authentication in Red Hat Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization 4CVE-2026-13208
0

CVE-2026-13208 is a vulnerability in Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization 4's KubeVirt component, specifically in the virt-handler domain notify server. The flaw allows a compromised virt-launcher process on the same node to forge domain lifecycle events for other virtual machine instances (VMIs), causing incorrect state updates and disruption of lifecycle management. The vulnerability arises because the gRPC handlers trust the VMI identity from the request body without validating it against the connection origin. This can lead to denial of service conditions affecting VMIs on the same node.
