The MDJM Event Management WordPress plugin up to version 1.7.8.4 contains a privilege escalation vulnerability due to missing capability checks and nonce verification in key permission-related functions. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to assign arbitrary MDJM capabilities to any WordPress role, enabling privilege escalation from subscriber to administrator. The vulnerable code is accessible via a public WordPress hook without authentication.
