CVE-2026-15060: CWE-284 in systemd systemd-machinedCVE-2026-15060
0

CVE-2026-15060 is a vulnerability in systemd-machined version 259 that allows an unprivileged user logged into a desktop graphical session to kill arbitrary processes, including privileged ones. Versions older than 259 are not affected unless a custom polkit policy grants unprivileged access to the register-machine action. The issue does not affect terminal-only or remote sessions and is unrelated to the main systemd service manager. systemd-machined is typically an optional package and not installed by default.
