CVE-2026-15336: CWE-862 Missing Authorization in catchplugins Catch Themes Demo ImportCVE-2026-15336
0

The Catch Themes Demo Import plugin for WordPress contains a missing authorization vulnerability in versions up to and including 3.3. This flaw allows authenticated users with subscriber-level access or higher to trigger the installation of a plugin from WordPress.org without proper capability checks before the installation process. The vulnerability arises because the plugin calls the installation function before verifying if the user has the 'activate_plugins' capability. This can lead to unauthorized installation of the hardcoded 'essential-content-types' plugin.
