0 CVE-2026-16487 is a high severity vulnerability in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 related to insufficient verification of data authenticity in the bootc component when using the default containers signature policy. This flaw allows automatic or manual upgrades of a mutable image tag to apply unsigned content from registries that fall back to insecureAcceptAnything. An attacker who can update that tag may execute arbitrary OS content as the host root filesystem upon reboot.
