It allows an attacker with root access to a guest partition to issue a crafted hypervisor call that causes a virtual processor to become permanently unresponsive, requiring a full platform reboot. In some cases, exploitation may also cause unintended data injection into hypervisor or partition memory without attacker control over the target location.
