CVE-2026-18386: CWE-22 Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') in cssimmon WP BackItUp Community EditionCVE-2026-18386 0 The WP BackItUp Community Edition WordPress plugin contains a directory traversal vulnerability in all versions up to and including 2.1.0. This flaw allows authenticated users with administrator-level privileges or higher to read arbitrary files on the server via the 'backup_file' parameter. The existing basename() normalization only applies when the target path does not exist, failing to prevent access to existing files.
